Last updated: 27 July 2026Barakah Bounty does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, or behavioural tracking. We use limited browser storage only to keep requested website features working.
1. Scope of this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how barakahbounty.com uses cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies.
These technologies may remember information on your device so that website features continue working between visits.
2. What we currently use
Barakah Bounty mainly uses local browser storage for features that visitors choose to use.
- Qur’an bookmarks: to remember the ayah where you chose to continue reading.
- Qur’an reading preferences: to remember whether you last browsed by Juz or by Surah.
- Tasbih counter: to save the current count so you can continue later on the same browser.
- Prayer-time location: to remember the city, area, or location preference used for Namaz timings.
- Islamic calendar location: to remember the location label used by calendar features.
- Quiz progress: to save completed sets, progress, and results where the quiz feature supports this.
3. Necessary storage
The storage described above is used to provide functions that a visitor directly requests. It is not used to build advertising profiles or track visitors across unrelated websites.
Some features may not work properly if this storage is blocked or deleted.
4. YouTube videos
The homepage shows YouTube thumbnails without loading the video player immediately.
A YouTube iframe is created only after a visitor chooses to play a video. The website uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain, youtube-nocookie.com.
Once a visitor plays a video, YouTube may process technical information according to its own privacy and cookie practices.
5. What we do not currently use
- Google Analytics
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta Pixel
- Advertising cookies
- Cross-site behavioural tracking
- Marketing profiling
6. Managing browser storage
You can remove or block cookies and local storage through your browser or device settings.
Clearing website data may remove saved Qur’an bookmarks, Tasbih counts, prayer-time locations, calendar preferences, and quiz progress.
7. Location permission
When you choose “Use my location,” your browser may ask for permission to access approximate latitude and longitude.
The website may save the selected location in your browser so that prayer and calendar features can continue using it. You can withdraw location permission through your browser or device settings.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Barakah Bounty later introduces analytics, advertising, optional tracking, or new browser-storage features.
If optional tracking is introduced, appropriate consent controls will be added where required.
9. Contact
For questions about cookies or browser storage, email contact@barakahbounty.com with the subject line Cookie Policy.
