Affirm belief in the Gathering
رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ
Rabbana innaka jami‘un-nasi li yawmin la rayba fih, inna Allaha la yukhliful-mi‘ad.
Our Lord, You will certainly gather humanity for a Day about which there is no doubt. Surely Allah does not break His promise.
When to recite: When renewing belief in the Last Day, after Qur’an recitation, and when the heart feels distracted by dunya. Source: Qur’an 3:9.
Ask not to be disgraced
وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
Wa la tukhzini yawma yub‘athun. Yawma la yanfa‘u malun wa la banun, illa man ata Allaha bi qalbin salim.
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected, the Day when wealth and children will not benefit, except the one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.
When to recite: When asking Allah for a clean heart, sincere tawbah, and safety from humiliation on the Last Day. Source: Qur’an 26:87-89.
Ask forgiveness when the Reckoning stands
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Rabbana-ghfir li wa liwalidayya wa lil-mu’minina yawma yaqumul-hisab.
Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the Reckoning will stand.
When to recite: After salah, in personal dua, and when making dua for parents and believers. Source: Qur’an 14:41.
Ask for an easy reckoning
اللَّهُمَّ حَاسِبْنِي حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
Allahumma hasibni hisaban yasira.
O Allah, bring me to account with an easy reckoning.
When to recite: In personal dua, especially after salah and when remembering the standing before Allah. Reported from Aishah رضي الله عنها in Musnad Ahmad and graded authentic by scholars.
