They are signs of Allah, not powers to worship
- The sun and moon are created. They are not gods, divine forces, lucky objects, or independent powers. They are servants of Allah’s command.
- Allah forbade worshipping them. The believer does not bow to the sun, moon, stars, planets, zodiac signs, or created lights.
- They point to the Creator. Their beauty is not the destination. Their order, benefit, and precision should turn the heart toward Allah.
- They remind us that creation is controlled. The sun does not rise by personal choice, and the moon does not arrange its phases by itself. Allah is the One who subjugated them.
- They are signs for people who think. The Qur’an repeatedly connects night, day, sun, and moon with reflection, gratitude, and taqwa.
