إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Innaaa arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmiheee an anzir qawmaka min qabli ay-ya’tiyahum ‘azaabun aleem
Indeed, We sent Nuh to his people, saying, Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment.

Yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yu’akhkhirkum ilaaa ajalim-musammaa; inna ajalallaahi izaa jaaa’a laa yu’akhkhar; law kuntum ta‘lamoon
He will forgive you some of your sins and delay you until an appointed term. Indeed, when the term of Allah comes, it will not be delayed, if you only knew.

And indeed, every time I called them so You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and became arrogant with great arrogance.
