Surah An-Najm

Surah An-Najm

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ

Transliteration

Maa dalla saahibukum wa maa ghawaa

Your companion has not gone astray, nor has he erred.

Surah An-Najm

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰٓ

Surah An-Najm

Surah An-Najm

Surah An-Najm

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّـٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ

Transliteration

Afara’aytumul-Laata wal-‘Uzzaa

Have you then considered Al-Lat and Al-Uzza?

In hiya illaaa asmaaa’un sammaitumooh aaa antum wa aabaaa’ukum maaa anzalallaahu bihaa min sultaan; iy-yattabi‘oona illaz-zanna wa maa tahwal-anfus; wa laqad jaaa’ahum mir-Rabbihimul-hudaa

They are nothing but names you and your fathers have named. Allah has sent down no authority for them. They follow nothing except assumption and what souls desire, while guidance has certainly come to them from their Lord.

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, so that He may repay those who did evil for what they did and reward those who did good with the best.

ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَـٰٓئِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌۭ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ

Transliteration

Allazeena yajtaniboona kabaaa’iral-ithmi wal-fawaahisha illal-lamam; inna Rabbaka waasi‘ul-maghfirah; Huwa a‘lamu bikum iz ansha’akum minal-ardi wa iz antum ajinnatun fee butooni ummahaatikum; falaa tuzakkooo anfusakum; Huwa a‘lamu bimanittaqaa

English Translation

Those who avoid major sins and immoralities, except small faults. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He knows you best from when He produced you from the earth and when you were unborn children in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure. He knows best who has taqwa.

Surah An-Najm

أَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰٓ

Ayah 56
Surah An-Najm

هَـٰذَا نَذِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

Transliteration

Haazaa nazeerum-minan-nuzuril-oolaa

English Translation

This is a warner from the former warnings.
