Ayah 1
Surah Al-Masad

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

Transliteration

Tabbat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb

English Translation

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and may he perish.

Surah Al-Masad

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

Transliteration

Maaa aghnaa ‘anhu maaluhoo wa maa kasab

English Translation

His wealth will not benefit him, nor what he earned.

Surah Al-Masad

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

Transliteration

Sayaslaa naaran zaata lahab

English Translation

He will enter a Fire of blazing flame.

Surah Al-Masad

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ

Wamra’atuhoo hammaalatal-hatab

And his wife, the carrier of firewood.

Fee jeedihaa hablum-mim-masad

Around her neck will be a rope of twisted fiber.
