Main Message A Makki surah that teaches the believer to seek refuge in Allah, the Lord, King, and God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers into hearts from among jinn and mankind.

Why It Matters It teaches that the greatest hidden battle is often inside the heart, that whispers can come from unseen and human sources, and that protection begins by seeking refuge in Allah alone.

Purpose It trains the heart to seek Allah’s protection, recognize harmful whispers, guard inner thoughts, resist pressure from jinn and people, and stay close to the Lord, King, and God of mankind.

Ayah 1

Surah An-Nas

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

Transliteration

Qul a‘oozu bi Rabbin-naas

English Translation

Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.

Surah An-Nas

مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ

Min sharril-waswaasil-khannaas

From the evil of the retreating whisperer.

Ayah 5

Surah An-Nas

ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ

Transliteration

Allazee yuwaswisu fee sudoorin-naas

Who whispers in the breasts of mankind.

Ayah 6

Surah An-Nas

Minal-jinnati wan-naas

From among jinn and mankind.
